Why this way
You pay for the people who promise dates. Not for everyone they hand work to.
An engineering project touches purchasing, suppliers, test labs and the plant. Charging for every one of them would make each request cost money, and the first people left out would be the ones who own the late parts.
So a seat is for someone on your engineering teams who commits to work, signs it off or decides a gate. A supplier answering one request by email never costs you a thing.
The details
Who needs a seat?
Anyone who signs in to Vector Engineer: engineers, leads, managers who validate work, gatekeepers, leadership and admins. An invitation that hasn't been accepted yet holds a seat too. People outside the company who work from an emailed link don't need one, and neither do people on your org chart who never sign in.
What if we grow into the next band?
We'll tell you before anything changes, and you move up at the next billing date. No surprise charges, no back-billing.
We already use Vector Operations Pro. Do we pay twice?
They're two products with one sign-in, so each has its own subscription, but Vector Engineer is 15% off for a company already on Operations Pro. It doesn't stack with the founding offer; you get whichever saves you more.
What's the founding offer?
30% off your band for your first two years after the 30-day free trial (24 months of billing), for a handful of companies. In return we ask for honest feedback, a reference call when you're happy, and permission to tell your story.
How does the free trial work?
Thirty days, with a card on file so it carries on by itself if you keep it. We send the payment link once your admin has signed in, so the trial covers real work: a request answered, a slip traced, a gate decided.
Monthly or yearly?
Either. Yearly works out at two months free and is usually easier to get through purchasing on one PO.
How do we pay?
By card, through Stripe; we never see or store your card details. If purchasing needs an invoice and terms instead, say so and we'll sort it. The subscription follows our Terms of Service.
What happens if we stop paying?
You keep everything you've recorded. Every project, signed version, gate decision and report stays readable; you just can't start new work until you're back on. Your record is yours.
Is there a contract?
No lock-in. Cancel whenever you like, and it ends at the end of the period you've paid for.
Does onboarding cost extra?
Not for Team and Group: we set you up remotely, and the starter gate processes keep it to hours, not weeks. Larger teams usually want help building their own gate processes and running the first project together; we'll quote that with your price.
