I can't get in
Vector Engineer is invite-only. Your company's admin invites you and gives you a seat; nobody can make an account for themselves.
I never got an invitation
It went to the exact address your admin typed, from notifications@vectorxpro.com.
- Search all your mail, not just the inbox, for Vector, including spam and the other tabs.
- Still nothing? Ask your admin to check the address and send it again (Company setup → People).
The invitation link says it has expired
The link in the email works once, within 24 hours; the invitation itself stays open for 14 days. Sending it again replaces the earlier link, so always use the newest email. Opening the link only shows the page: nothing is used up until you choose your password and press the button.
I signed in and it says I don't have Vector Engineer
Your account exists, but your company hasn't given you a Vector Engineer seat yet, or the invitation went to a different address from the one you signed in with. Ask your admin to give you a seat, and tell them which address you use.
I've forgotten my password
Vector Engineer uses the same Vector account as the iPhone apps. In the Vector app, tap Forgot Password? on the sign-in screen and follow the email. Resetting it from the website is coming; until then, if you have no Vector app, write to us.

Something isn't working right
A button refused, with a reason
Vector checks the rules every time, and when it says no it says why, in plain words. The most common ones are on purpose:
- Nobody signs their own work. Pick someone else to validate or review it.
- Only the owner answers a request, starts, ticks the definition of done and submits.
- Submitting needs the work product attached and every checklist item met.
- A signed version is locked. Add a new version instead; it needs new signatures.
A file won't attach
Each file can be up to 50 MB. Files are added by the owner while the work is accepted and not yet signed off. Adding a file to submitted work takes it back to In progress, so it can be signed again.
I can't see a project, or someone's work
You see the projects you're on. Managers see the projects their people are on, and leadership sees every project. If you should be on a team, ask its lead or your admin to add you.
The page looks out of date
When we release a new version, the app shows a bar: "A new version of Vector Engineer is ready." Press Reload. Press it, or use ↻ Reload in the sidebar to read the latest from Vector.
A date looks wrong
Forecast dates are calculated, not typed: from each owner's promised date and working time, and from when the work they're waiting on is verified. A late prerequisite moves everything after it, and the page shows how many days were inherited and from where. Today's date is counted in US Central time.

My account, my company
Seats and roles
Everyone who signs in to Vector Engineer uses a seat. Company admins give and end seats, and name leadership and gate-process owners, in Company setup → People. People outside the company who answer by email don't use a seat.
Taking someone off a team
Their open work has to go somewhere first. On the project's Team, use Hand on: their work, signatures, reviews, gates and the outside work they answer for move in one step, and then they can come off.
Deleting an account, or closing a company
Write to support@vectorxpro.com and we'll deal with it with your company. The record is built to be trusted, so names stay on the work already signed; our privacy policy explains exactly what is kept and why.
04
I was sent a link by email
A company using Vector Engineer asked you for one piece of work. The link is your way in: no account, no password, and only that one deliverable.
What can I do from the link?
- Answer the request: accept it with your working time, propose another date, ask a question, or decline.
- Once accepted, add your files (up to 50 MB each). Each time you add files, they become the next version.
- Submit for sign-off when you're done. The person who asked checks the definition of done first.
The link says it no longer works
"A newer link was sent for this work." · "This link was stopped." · "This work was passed to someone else."
Each deliverable has one working link at a time. Use the most recent email, or reply to it and ask the person who sent it for a new link. Once the work is signed off, the link still shows you the result.
Who sees what I send?
The company that asked you: the people on that project and their managers. Replying to the email reaches the person who asked. See our privacy policy.
Still stuck?
Tell us what you were doing and what happened. A person reads every message.
