Terms of Service

Vector Engineer · Draft of 17 October 2026 · Ask us for the current version.

These terms are the agreement between VectorXPro LLC, a Kansas limited liability company ("VectorXPro", "we"), and the company that subscribes to Vector Engineer ("Customer", "you"). They cover the web app at vectorxpro.com/engineer/app, the iPhone and iPad app, and the related services (together, "Vector Engineer"). The person accepting them confirms they may bind the Customer.

1. The service

Vector Engineer lets a company run stage-gate engineering projects: who owes each deliverable, by when, what it waits on, who signs it off, what holds each gate, the findings from design and other reviews, and the reports that follow. We provide it as a hosted service and may improve it over time. We will not remove a core function you rely on (deliverables and their sign-offs, gates and gate decisions, reviews and findings, the schedule, the reports, the protected record) without at least 60 days' notice.

2. Seats, your users and people outside your company

Your admins decide who gets a Vector Engineer seat and what role they have. You are responsible for your users' use of Vector Engineer and for keeping sign-in details private. An invitation that hasn't been accepted yet holds a seat. People outside your company that you ask for work by email (a supplier, another department) use a link to that one deliverable and don't need a seat; you are responsible for having the right to share that work with them. Contractors you invite act on your behalf.

One Vector account signs a person in to every Vector app. Anyone can delete their own account from Settings in the iPhone or iPad app; their name stays on the work they did, as the Privacy Policy explains.

3. Subscription, price and payment

4. Cancelling, and what happens to your records

You can cancel at any time; the subscription ends at the end of the period already paid for, with no further charge. If payment stops or the free trial ends without a subscription, Vector Engineer becomes read-only: everything recorded stays readable, and reports can still be opened, printed and downloaded. We do not hold your records hostage.

If you close your company's account, we delete its records and files as described in the Privacy Policy. Download the reports and files you need first; we will help you export them on request.

5. Your data

Everything your company records in Vector Engineer is yours: projects, deliverables, files, findings and reports. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide, secure and support Vector Engineer for you. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request.

Because Vector Engineer's purpose is a record that can be trusted, history is never rewritten, a signature covers exactly the version it was made on, a signed version can't be changed, and nothing is deleted from a project's record (withdrawn files stay, marked as withdrawn). You agree this is how the service is meant to work.

6. Acceptable use

Don't use Vector Engineer to break the law, to store information it isn't designed for (such as health records, payment card numbers, government ID numbers or export-controlled technical data you aren't permitted to hold with us), to try to reach another company's data, to overload or attack the service, or to resell it without our agreement.

7. Availability and support

We aim to keep Vector Engineer available around the clock, apart from planned maintenance, which we schedule outside normal U.S. working hours where we can. Support is by email at support@vectorxpro.com; we answer on U.S. business days.

8. Confidentiality

Each of us keeps the other's non-public information confidential, uses it only for this agreement, and protects it with reasonable care. This does not cover information that is public, already known, independently developed, or that the law requires to be disclosed.

9. Our intellectual property

Vector Engineer, its software, design and starter content (such as the standard six gates) belong to VectorXPro. You may use them while subscribed. Gate processes, checklists and work you create are yours. If you send us suggestions, we may use them without obligation.

10. Warranties

We will provide Vector Engineer with reasonable skill and care and in line with these terms. Otherwise, it is provided "as is". Vector Engineer helps you record, schedule and track engineering work; it does not check designs, give engineering advice, or make a product safe or compliant on its own. You remain responsible for your engineering decisions and your regulatory and customer obligations.

11. Liability

Neither of us is liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or data, except where the law does not allow this to be excluded. Each party's total liability under this agreement is limited to the fees paid or payable by the Customer in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply to a party's obligations of confidentiality, to the Customer's payment obligations, or to liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. The App Store

If you use the iPhone or iPad app, these terms are between you and VectorXPro, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its support, and Apple's own terms for App Store apps also apply to your use of it.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a material change by email to your company's admins; the updated terms apply from your next renewal.

14. General

Kansas law governs these terms, and the courts of Saline County, Kansas have jurisdiction. Neither of us is responsible for delays caused by events outside reasonable control. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. An order form or signed agreement between us overrides these terms where they differ.
