Files

Attaching the work, versions, and withdrawing a wrong file.

Attach the work

On your work, tap Attach files and choose a file, photos from your library, or take a photo. For physical work, a photo of it done is the usual proof. Add a caption if it helps, then tap Add version.

  1. 1Open your work and scroll to Files.
  2. 2Tap Attach files and pick one or more.
  3. 3Add a caption (optional), like “Rev B, fire exits added”.
  4. 4Tap Add version.

Files: a file ready to add as a new version with a caption, and earlier versions with Open, Download and Withdraw

Every attach is a new version

Files you add together are one version. Nothing is overwritten: version 1 stays when you add version 2, and anyone on the project can open either. The newest version with a file in it is the current one, and signatures are made on it.

A wrong file is withdrawn

Tap ⋯ next to a file and Withdraw, with a reason. It stays on the record, crossed out, with your reason. A version someone has signed is locked: it can’t be withdrawn.

Adding or withdrawing a file after you submit takes the work back to In progress. Submit again for new signatures.

Opening files

Tap a file to open it. Files come from Vector the first time and are kept on your phone after that. The demo’s files are records only and open as a one-page stand-in.
